I know there are a few threads on this, but I can't seem to find any solutions. My FEL on the L3710 has been slower and weaker lately. Not much, but seems to be getting worse. It's a Bushhog 2045 loader. Also, not sure if it's related, but the 3pt slowly settles when the tractor is off.

I thought about shimming the relief valve, but since the 3pt is settling I'm wondering if that would just be a "band-aid" but not the real problem.

Maybe this is way off, but the rear HST drain plug has a slow leak. Any chance that would affect it? Maybe sucking air or something?

Any ideas what could be causing this? I'm really a novice at hydraulics, so any help is appreciated!

If the 3pt settles when the tractor is off, the seals on the 3pt piston are probably worn.

Is the 3pt lever in neutral? That is supposed to lock the cyl in place.

Raise the arms with some attachment and turn the descent valve closed.

Closing the valve is primarily for transport, and is supposed to lock the fluid in the 3pt cyl.
