JD 4110
I just finished making a quick attach for a snowplow for my JD 4110. I recently installed a diverter valve, so I will control the angle with that. I picked up a somewhat abused 7' Western (I think) snowplow locally for $100. I cut it down to 5' I bought some hooks and pins from JD to make the quick attach. I started with the mounting bracket that was already on the plow, and fabbed up the rest.

Looks good!
How about a picture of the valve, I was thinking of doing that sometime.

I read with interest the threads concerning whether a FEL plow needed to float or whether to run in float. I decided I would give myself the option, so I worked up a sliding tube system that I think will work. Basically, the plow hangs on the horizontal bar. Then when lowered to the ground it can float up about 7" It needed 2 pivot points to allow this. See following picts.

Here is a wider angle of the entire plow. It's amazing what a little paint will do! /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Since these pictures were taken, I welded the skid shoe brackets back on and put on the cutting edge. I also cut a section of horse stall mat for a rubber edge. The cylinders that came with the plow were in pretty bad shape, so my brother-in-law is rebuilding them for me. It snowed about 2" here this morning so I tried er out. Appears to me as if it will do! Time will tell. THANK You to everyone here on TBN whose ideas I stole and/or modified! Jason

Jason I like it too. And I'm sure you'll get more than a few chances to use it this winter. Let us know how it works out.
