I know everyone that has teeth on their front end loader already knows this but their might be a few out there who are contemplating buying teeth so here is another reason.

As you can tell by the photo, with these teeth, the bucket capacity is increased. When I took this photo I had already dumped some of the dirt, but it looks like the capacity is increased by about 1/4 to 1/3. Caution should be used when doing this, sufficient weight at the rear of the tractor is needed and increased RPM for the hydraulics is also required.

Don, I'd say the teeth not only increase the size of the bucket, but they also increase the chance you'll get more in each bucket-full. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif I do love my teeth for working in hard or packed ground. Sometimes I put the teeth straight down in the dump position and make one pass pulling backwards using the teeth as scarifiers. Then I scoop in the forward direction and almost always keep going until I see dirt spilling over the top of the bucket. I couldn't do that as often before I had the toothbar.

BTW: Your bucket looks just exactly like my NH bucket. Most Deere buckets have a dogleg in the side, but Kubota and NH buckets are straight. Here's a picture of mine before I got my toothbar when I had the cutter bar installed. The only thing I miss with the toothbar is I can't do smooth backdragging with it installed as I could with the cutterbar. I have to use the heel of the bucket for that now.

I remember before I purchased my toothbar seeing a post here at the TBN site, I don't recollect the members name the made the post, but they went on to say that adding a toothbar was like putting your bucket on steroids. I thought about that remark for about a short week before I made my purchase and added a toothbar myself. You guys are right I only take my teeth out for winter use of the bucket. Better to gum the snow for sure anyway. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
