Try running the loader to the max height and then curl the bucket up and down. lower. Raise. Repeat. That will fix it. Purges the air.

Thanks for the extra ideas.
Unfortunately the loader won't come up to max height, it gets about 1/3 of the way up then won't go any higher, it comes up to a couple of feet above ground then just bumps upward in tiny erratic increments and basically goes nowhere. I checked the lines and re-seated the connects, to no avail. The fluid has a silghtly smoky tint. The bucket will go most to the way through its range of travel, but slowly. There is an intermittent chattering noise which I assume is from the main hyd. pump. Air? Cavitation?

Have to look further into screen/filter locations so I can check what I can do there. When I last worked it over the weekend it was above zero (C) so I assume no ice likely in the system.

I think you have air in the cyl or a QD is not connected correctly.

If you continue to have air in the cyl, then look for a suction leak.

Switch the lines to the lift hyd, and see if the bucket will have full range.

Check fluid level.

Clean any filter screens
