FEL won't work on TL2900

If you dont have a power beond port you can hook the return line to the rest of the tractor till you can find a port. One bad thing can happen when you cut the line to hook up the loader. If you unhook a quick disconnect with the tractor running you will dead head the pump which may blow the pump or pump drive. I put a pressure releef valve in mine to protect it if this should happen. If you un hook your loader you will have to put in a jumper line in place of the loader. Hi Larry Great information, thanks. The filler hole adapter is one that I made up. I wanted one with 2 inlets because I had big ideas about hooking up a hydraulic toplink while I was at it. For now though I'll be happy just getting the loader going. The loader came with the tractor but wasn't hooked up. They had taken the loader off a wrecked TL2900 but didn't complete the hookup. I don't know the brand name of the loader valve but the loader is a loadmaster. I sure hope the valve has power beyond on it since I'm assuming that if I have to hook it up another way based on what your saying I could lose half the loaders power.
I'll try to get a good picture of the valve and post it. Maybe somebody will be able to show me whats what on it. Thanks again. Gerry

Hi I'm adding a few pics of the valve that came with the loader. No brand name on it and also no markings as to which ports might be pressure in, fluid return or power beyond. I've marked 3 outlets on the valve- one blue, one red and the other white in the hope that someone can identify which of these is power beyond assuming its one of the three. Also I've put tape on the hose that I think is attached to the fluid return port , if someone could let me know if thats right and then also if I have the pressure line hooked up properly. Thanks. I dont know any thing about your valve. If you have the right pressure port the port that will flow only when the the valve is in nutral will be the power beyond. the return port will flow only when oil is comming out of the cylinders. The red port looks like it has a pipe plug in it. this may be the third port. If this is not a power beyond valve the return port will flow all the time. This is just a gess on what I say about your valve. Good luck...Larry

case 685,been waiting for u to fix this loader.havent heard anything on this loader for days.u been laxing on the job? i did not use the power beyond on my loader valve. i just used the 2 hoses hooked to the cut hydralic line.the power beyond is a better way but u have to hook up 3 hoses.whichever way works for u is fine just fix it.ill go make a copy of the instructions on my valve and post it.

the pressure side goes to the output of pump. the power beyond to the rear hydralics. my valve is a little different.it is a 2 lever koyker.

Hi Mit Its funny you should ask how I'm making out. I have been tied up with other things and had some trouble getting the right fittings to do the hookup. The place I bought them from gave me the wrong size on one of the fittings but the right size on the other to hook into the steel line so of course one went on perfect but the other gave me lots of trouble(it was 14mm and should have been 15. I thought the line was a bit oversize so I started filing and filing and filing).Anyway, I got it hooked up today but it still doesn't work. Here's whats happening now: when I push the joystick to the left the bucket cylinders extend out strongly to the point where the tractor stalls. The 3point hitch will only raise if the joystick is tilted right. I know I have the pressure side hooked up right but I may have the power beyond and the return ports backwards. Does that make sense to anybody. I'm guessing by the way my bucket tilt cyls are acting that fluid cant return or leave the cyls to relieve the pressure. Also the main arm cyls appear to retract slightly when I puh or pull on the joystick but won't do anything else.
I had big plans to take pictures after hookup was completed and post them which I will still do hopefully on the weekend. Gerry

you should have oil flowing out one port when the valve is centered that is the power beyound port or the return port on a two hose system. This port is the one that hooks the 3point hitch. It takes a special sleave in the power beyound port to change the valve to power beyound....Larry

try this.disconnect the valve from the hoses.use compressed air to force air thru the valve while working the lever this should help you to identify what is what on the valve.with the valve in neutral if u put air in the inlet air should come out the power beyond port.if this is not happening u may have used the wrong sleeve to make the connection to the port or u may have choosen the wrong port.

the hose you have the green tape is that your pressure side?
