I will be buying a compact tractor in the next few months to go with the new house and 10 acres to take care of and all this Kioti chat and the photos have really impressed me. Especially since a Kioti dealer opened up 10 miles down the road. I think I'll check it out tomorrow for something to do. Any way I see you have turf tires on your baby. Are you having problems with them with all the grunt work you are doing? After I get 2-3 acres landscaped around the house I will be using it mainly for mowing and spreading some horse manure with a small spreader. The question is - Turf or R4 tires? Any input would be greatly appreciated. P.S. I will be doing some occasional grunt work with it.

I will be doing some occasional grunt work with it. )</font>I have the R4s and they don't seem to be too hard on my turf unless I'm doing a lot of back and forth in the same spot. I haven't mowed in the yard, just field and woods work. I use a lawn tractor for the yard, but I have done a good bit of clearing junk out of the yard with little effect from the R4s. I don't think I could do some of the work I've done down around the creek with Turfs, but they'd be nice as a second set. Good luck on your search/purchase. There are a lot of good tractors out there, I hope a Kioti will be right for you. John

Actually sometimes I do when I'm in some muck but because I have 4x4(all Kioti's are 4x4) and a BH I go anywhere I want and use the BH to get me out. No marks at all on the lawn with turfs. And in the snow I had no problems at all. Maybe some compaction on the lawn but thats a weight issue and glad to have it. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif Recently I ordered some R-4's so I can have the best of both worlds then I'll be able to give an objective opinion. If I had to do it over again I'd still start with turfs. I'd say if you have more grunt work then lawn work then R-4's and vice versa. Also the tooth bar makes loading the fel easy, thats a must!

What was the breakdown on that? I paid $9985 tractor, $1985 for KL-120 loader. I didn't buy the MMM, but that would mean over $3000 for the mower. It's too high. I've seen the MMM go for less than $2000. Negotiate. Also, check your mail on "my home". I sent you a private message. John

I suppose I should have said, I think it's too high, but it also depends on where you're living. Prices are not the same as they are here in Florida in my area. John

It pays to shop around. Search the internet for kioti dealers and their phone numbers. Call as many as you can get and get a feel for pricing. Be an intelliegent consumer/buyer however be reasonable, dealers have to eat too. But that seems a little high. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
