Female Hydraulic Fitting Won't Lock On the Male Firring

May have to loosen the connector to bleed a little fluid. Messy, but sometimes that is my only way to relieve the pressure

Try soaking the balls and ring with a good penetrant like Kriol, PB Blaster, or Fluid Film.

With the ring pulled back (or pushed forwards depending on the style) can you move the balls?
Not Fluid Film Kenny. FF has no value as a penetrant. FF is more of a corrosion protector and I use it as such. It's lanolin based.

Mine are the style that the ring pushes in when connecting. One of them, I always have to use a screwdriver to push the ring in when connecting.
This minor inconvenience is better than spending $70 for a new replacement.

Brute force and awkwardness won again. I got a heat gun and got it good and hot and sprayed it with PB Blaster and my penetrating oil and put one of the new males on a piece of pipe and hit it with a hammer and it snapped right in. No idea what the problem was, just new I guess. It works now!

Stubbornness does overcome 😁
