The process was.
1. Set an offset point.
2. Set up the transit at the offset point.
3. Shoot back to the original set up point.
4. Turn the appropriate angle from the original set up point.
5. Measure the appropriate distance to get back on the property line
6. Move the transit to the new point on the property line.
7. Shoot back to the offset point
8. Turn the appropriate angle to get back on the property line.
9. Continue setting property line pins.
With all the set ups needed, we avoided doing this as much as possible. I got real familiar with a brush hook /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif to clear brush out of the way, but sometimes trees got in the way and we didn't have a choice.
