Fergie's in ICU

In California it’s partnered with Song Beverly…

The basic is consumer non business use…

Tractors can be a grey area… is it for personal home use or a business asset?

Consumer protection hinges on how Consumer is defined.

California has one of the strongest consumer protection statutes that adds to Federal.

Remind us again how old the tractor is, and how many hours? As I recall, it's still clearly under warranty, right? To deny coverage, they would have to show a specific thing that you did that caused the failure.
Less than 2 years since I bought it new, and 569 hours. Standard warranty on entire powertrain is 5-years/1000-hours. I opted for the extended warranty which is 10-years/2000-hours.

I thought standard was 2 years "bumper to bumper" (everything except battery!) or wear and tear like tires ... Then 5 years or 2000 hours on "drivetrain" whichever comes first ... ?

I grabbed mine when I was home and took a picture, unfortunately I didn't get the "footnotes"

I wasn't offered the choice of an extended warranty ...

Was it through AGCO?

Nevertheless, this is definitely before the original 5 year one ...

Well, I was told that it was ... Don't really have any great paperwork on that. : (

I did find a warranty paper like you displayed above, showing 5-year/2000-hour on the powertrain. I'll have to find out what my "extended" one does. Duh.

As a Plan B in case they say my warranty will not cover the engine failure, I have started searching for another GC tractor within 500 miles. If it is a cheap, old one, then it might become an engine donor. If it is a better, newer one, with bells and whistles, then it might become my new Fergie, with the original Fergie being a donor of all the stuff I've added to it, and then being a spares unit for hydraulic cylinders, valves, and such.

I don't have a truck or trailer, so I'm sure that @Shawn T. W. will be happy to come by with his 18-wheeler to pick it up and deliver it to me.

I had a helluva time getting my 10 year warranty paperwork from the salesman. Still not clear on how it reads.
