A question for the OP. Did they ever tell you what the root cause of your engine problem was ?
No. When I was there Wednesday (posts 104-106), they had pulled out the old engine and installed the new one. I was told that the old one was in a crate (probably the one that the new engine arrived in) and was going to be shipped back to Massey Ferguson for analysis. The dealer's mechanic had not pulled the head nor dropped the oil pan.

Pictures in post #1 were of the hole in the right side of the engine, but I knew there was a hole(s) on the left side hidden behind a bracket, so it couldn't be seen from the outside. Turns out that bracket was the left rear mount. Here's a photo that he took of the left side with the (bent) bracket before he crated it:

It also means it draws the fresh "cool" air to cool the radiator under your legs, so you don't sweat so much in the summer, but get your long johns out if your gonna do winter work!

I rarely use mine in the winter!

I had a Kubota BX with the radiator up near the steering wheel. I didn’t really like it. I didn’t think it was any cooler and it seemed to get more grass in it from the mid mount mower.

I can see it being a problem with a mmm, I don't have one ... Don't get me wrong, it still collects grass and dust with a brush hog!

I use MMM on my GC2400 in old hay field. and I maintain a GC1725MB with MMM just down the road from me. and maintained a GC1710 with 4ft woods brush hog for years.
rad screen usually clean, very seldom any REAL buildup. I get little more on front grill than screen. don't get me wrong, there will be some but it comes from the sides of hood and will collect no matter where radiator is.
I get the theory but in real life don't think it really makes a difference, but its hard to drive a branch through an engine block into a radiator with radiator in rear.
would just say its hard to drive a branch through an engine block but....look at the pics on post 1 here :)

but it does warm up fast in winter, prob a good thing.
