Ferguson Two Bottom Plow

I have one very much like that one that I gave $250 for about 24 years ago. I had no idea it was appreciating. I still use it, so it's market value is not of much concern to me.

Same here, mine looks very similar to the one pictured. I'm not sure what my dad gave when he bought it. I'm not able to read anything on the tag except Ferguson on the top . I'd love to know how old mine is. It still sees dirt work every year.

Thanks Ken and everyone,

Any idea on the age of the thing...I couldn't find a date on it.

I am going to guestimate in the forties, maybe real early fifties? Ken Sweet

I am not an expert on this, but I think the 14A pictured is older and (at least from a collector's point of view) more valuable, especially as it appears to be in pretty good shape. The Ford 9N came out in 1939 and Ferguson-Sherman were supposed to be making (well actually, purchasing with their name on them)the plows and other implements to suit it, right from the get-go, but I believe they were a little tardy. Nonetheless, with such a low serial number (mine is #29904 and still an early version) I would estimate the date to be early 1940s, but I'm sure someone on TBN has an actual table of the serial numbers versus the year of manufacture. I think too that all the Ferguson-Sherman 3-pt implements pre-date any of the Dearborn or Ford implements, but I'm not positive if there is some overlap.
