Tractor
Yanmar 187D Bobcat 743 skid loader w/forks and homebuilt 6-way grader blade
I did a double take last nite when I came by a used tractor and implement dealer and saw this tractor. I wonder if it is French or Italian?

3 cylinder air cooled diesel. Interesting machine! It was almost dark- nobody around to ask price.

That tractor is probably 30 years old, it is most likely from the late 1970's it is odd to see that it is in Michigan. That is pretty much a west coast brand, I'm not sure if they still import them but seems to me the represtative was based out of California and the tractors were used in vinyards and orchards. They also made walking tractors. The model number is interesting because I thought that series came from the 1980's but the paint colors are definately from the 1970's. The front grill work also looks like the earlier models.

There was also an Italian brand of articulating tractor called a Pasquali.

OOPS, Bought out in 1989. I guess that's not very "recent" anymore.

Ferrari has a great West coast dealer, Ferrari Tractor CIE, Mr. Eugene Canales. If you like and want small European equipment that works well for the small farm check his site out. He deals the Ferrari and Antonio Carraro lines. Ferrari Tractor CIE, Gridley,

Kiwibru,
Yes, I'm familiar with them, but I try to find more variety than just one site. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

I've seen a couple of those near here, probably retired from a vinyard or orchard as you noted. I don't know if either ran.

One was in the backyard of a person who apparently 'renovated' and sold tractors one at a time on the roadside in front of his place. The other one was a couple of miles down the road. The second one had a loader on it and looked like it had been parked for a few years. Both appeared to be worn out and retired after extensive use.

California,
Aren't those the best kind as a challenging "fixer-upper". /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Is there any connection with the Ferrari tractor and THE Ferrari automobile company?

I can just see Michael Schumacher taking that tractor down the Mulsanne straight at LeMans doing 230 mph, cranking 18,000 rpm. Oops...wrong race track!! Maybe Monaco.

Chuck_Lind,
It would be very cool if it were so, but, I doubt it. Enzo Ferrari's bio never mentions anything about agriculture, and that man was hands-on in what ever he did. Nor does the Ferrari tractor history mention anything about the supercars of the same name.

If you sleep better knowing about some tractor-automobile connection,
good news, Ferruccio Lamborghini started building tractors first and they made him rich enough to build cars as a hobby... and the rest is history.
His bio is really good reading, if you're ever so inclined.

interesting! It looks a little "nose" heavy though, or is that just the picture?

I myself actually have one that I am wanting to sell. I got it when I bought a avocado orchard down here in San Diego county. Does anyone have any idea where I would do that? Is there any kind of market for these older articulating tractors?

Hi. My name is Mark. I have a small avocado ranch in Ventura County. I'm interested in purchasing a used ferrari tractor. If yours is still for sale, could you give me some information about it? Model, year, condition, accessories, asking price, etc.
