I've been in the market for one and been lokking for exactly the same thing and I can't find any that are iMatch compatible. Even the Frontier ones from JD aren't iMatch compatible! Looks like I'll be going with a Herd spreader/seeder. The M-96 is the one recommended for CUT's and it's light enough that it's shouldn't be too difficult to put on the 3PH.

I don't think it will be that hard, but I'll have to wait until I have it to see how things measure up. I think that extending the toplink pin enough for the iMatch hook to engage may do it but I don't know yet.
Loogie thanks I had never heard of herdseeder it looks like a great option. I'm sure mayor is right some slight modifications should do the trick. But like you I do find it a bit ironic that the Deere model (Frontier) doesn't even fit.Loogie said:

Was it just the width of the lift pins that were the issue? Didn you have to do anything with the top link so the iMatch hook could get under it? Could you take some more pic's of the mount? I'd really like to see your solution in greater detail.

Hey Loogie... yes it was just a matter of extending the outside pins. I had no idea it wasn't i-Match compatible until I got it home. I didn't sweat it though. I went to the local farm store (Blaines) and found some steel tubing (by the angle iron) that would slide over the spreader pins... Take a peak at my pics and ask questions if you have them.

Thanks for the pics on your spreader modification. I just purchased the same Frontier PTO last week, but had to remove the imatch kit to fit. It did a great job on my 3.5 acres....
Couple followup questions regarding your modification:
1) Did you spot weld the copper tubing (outside pins) to the spreader frame or just slide on and pin it?
2) What is the length of the copper tubing?
3) As info, do you operate in low or high gear range when using the spreader?

I did not spot weld anything. I may this winter but I would place bets that it'll take some major effort to slide off.
I don't recall the length. But it's just typicall steel tubing you'll find by the angle iron and other misc stuff in your hardware or farm store.
I rarely run my tractor in low gear unless I'm doing loader work. Though I don't run at full speed when I'm running my spreader. You'll figure out the right speed for you the first time out very quickly. I probably run around 1/2 to 3/4 speed. Any thing else, let me know?? Have fun!

It's a solid spreader Mayor... I got a great deal on it last fall from a dealer who posted here in the classifieds. I believe I bought it for $200 new. I had no plans of buying that soon but couldn't pass on it. I sold my pull behind and never looked back. I haven't missed the pull behind yet.

Holy Smoke! That's an awesome deal! The best price I could get was $650 including freight. I ordered the Herd M96 instead. It was just under $500 including freight.

Don't feel bad about not getting one of the Frontier Spreaders. Your M96 Herd spreader is the best. Just do a few searches on here to read up about it. If I remember correctly, most of those cone shaped spreaders are manufactured by the same Italian company and they break down before long. The Herd spreader is manufactured in Indiana and you can buy any part you need with no hassle. I've also heard you can't buy a lot of the parts for those cone shaped spreaders. Do a search on here to read what others have written.

Will you have to make a few adjustments to fit the iMatch. They look like a well made item.

Herd said it is not iMatch compatible. I'll have to take a look at it when I get it, but I doubt it will be that difficult to make it work with the iMatch. I'll let you know.

That's the only draw back to the Herd for me. It is definately not i-match compatible, but like everything else, if you have a little know-how, you can make them compatible. ( I have not tried to do that yet, but I know it can be done.)
