well, i finally got around to installing the fencing. Worked great. Only thing i added was a round 24" diameter bottom plate in place of the piece of wood. I thought the wood piece would just spin ant all would be good, but it actually got caught up a few times in the wire. I cut a piece of 12g steel from scrap i had on hand, and all works great now. Heres a few pics, but they dont show the round bottom piece . in use.jpg pull tight 2.jpg pull tight 1.jpg fence 1.jpg

Heres the round plate i had to add. i also added a small piece of pipe to help direct the support pipe in while installing a new roll of wire. With the round plate this thing works great. no more binding. 20190527_163617.jpg 20190527_163628.jpg

I've been planning on building one that I can put on my quick attach for my loader because it's so much easier to switch things on that then the 3 point hitch of my tractor. Once I have the bush hog attached, I hate taking it off!!! I also think it might be easier to drive backwards while unloading and seeing what the wire is doing, then to drive forwards and twist my head around. Probably wont matter either way, but then there is the added potential benefit of being able to raise the wire up over a post when I want to change sides or go around a corner. I've never done this, it's just what I'm thinking of how it will work.

Why not make it on an extendable arm going sideways so you can push it past the tractor and drive forward? Best of both worlds.

That's kind of the plan, but more of a hinge in the middle so it can extend off to either side.
