All Ford's in my stable (7), 8 if you count the MGB Roadster I'm stuffing a 429 SCJ into for the wife (she like's convertibles, I like big block torque), my version of a Shelby Cobra Roadster, I guess. I'm a stockholder, so I'm enjoying the Ford love that's taking place right now $$$$...happy motoring!

Some MGBs - the GTs - were fitted with a Buick-derived small bore Rover V8. That may be a more straightforward conversion - though handling and cooling would be fun!

That wouldn't be outrageous enough for my taste...a friend of mine asked me how I was going to get such a large engine into such a small car. I told him of my philosphy regarding such builds...if all else fails, I'll build the car around the engine.

Saw an Austin-Healey once with a Corvette injected 327 in it.... quite a sleeper! Only clue on the outside was the twin pipes below the rear bumper that Healeys used-- on BOTH sides! Must have been an absolute blast to drive. This was back in 1967 or so.

Guy said it was "interesting" but probably wouldn't try it again.

mustangsallysdad- I'd love to see pics of your MGB conversion!
