Do you recommend filling the rear tires. I have a 60" HD bucket, 7308 FEL, and 72"Landspride rear blade?

I had my tires filled. I believe the manual states that the tires should be filled or a combination of rear wheel weights and something on the 3pt is recommended for loader use. Suprisingly the manual also says you can do all of the above. /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif That goes a long way in saying what the tractor can handle. /w3tcompact/icons/grin.gif

Yes,

Several options
Windshield Washer Fluid
Calcium Chloride
Rim Guard (Also known as Beet juice)

Do a search you'll find more info than you ever wanted.

I have rim guard in mine - environmentally friendly, heavy, no rusting rims. Downside? More expensive.

When my tractor was first delivered, the tires weren't filled, the dealer filled them at a later date. I noticed that when mowing on hills, I used 4wheel drive less as the rears had much improved traction. Also improved stability when using the loader. An attachment on the three point is recommended in addition to the filled tires for heavy loads.

Yep, purchased TC33D, 7308FEL with 60"HD bucket, industrial tires, and a 72" Landspride rear blade. We will be purchasing a finishing mower next spring/summer. Looking at Landspride right now. Delivery is set for Sept. 6. Too long too wait. Looking forward to putting in a 275ft. gravel drive and also order topsoil for the future lawn. Thanks for all the wonderful info.

Congratulations Christy, Another TC33D owner in Michigan! What part of the state are you in? I'm over on the west side near Muskegon.

Oops, forgot to give you my opinion on filled tires. I chose not to get mine filled for a couple of reasons. I wasn't sure if I was going to trailer my tractor around at some point and filling the tires adds a lot of extra weight. I don't finish mow with my tractor but do go on the lawn occasionally and didn't want the extra weight there either. I did end up putting on two sets of wheel weights on the rears to add a little more weight but I can remove those easy enough in the future. With the wheel weights and an implement on back I have enough counter balance for the FEL. Without an implement on I have to be real careful using the FEL.

I'm in Southeast MI--Monroe County. Just moved there last March. Built our dream home on 12 acres. 9-10 acres we have farmed so we can maintain the agricultural status

christy,

I have a TC33D basically the same setup as yours. I willed my tires and would highly recommend it. I do a lot of finish mowing on my lawn and have not had any problem with the extra weight. And you definitely need the weight when using the loader.

I can definitely feel the difference when doing box blade work...much more traction/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif.

Congratulations on the new tractor and hope to see you around on the boards in the future.
