Tires filled tires on NH33D?

Thanks for the info. I will be callling the dealer to fill up those tires prior to delivery of the "new toy" next week.

Since you are in Michigan, you are right in the back yard of the inventor of Rim Guard. IMO, that is the way to go on tire fill. It's non-corrosive (unlike Calcium Chloride, one of the more popular fills), non-toxic to animals (unlike most antifreeze... in fact Rim Guard has an animal food grade certification), and doesn't kill plants if you spring a leak.

I have Calcium Chloride in My TC33D rear tires. Unfortunately, I hadn't heard of Rim Guard when I had them filled. First leak I get, I'm getting them switched over to Rim Guard. If you are interested, I can probably dig up a phone number to the Rim Guard people around here somewhere...

If you get a chance, could you get me the phone number for Rim Guard. I know the dealer was discussing with me what they fill the tires with, but don't remember him using that term. He did discuss "environmentally friendly fill"

Don't give up on finding the rim guard (beet juice). At 11 lbs/gal, it's heavier than most of the calcium chloride solutions. It's not corrosive (in fact, it helps prevent corrosion) and non-toxic to animals or plants.

The guy who holds the patent on it is Glen Daly, in East Lansing, Michigan. If you give him a call at 517-351-6470 he'll send you info on it and tell you where the dealers are in your area. As of a few months ago, he was still hard at work expanding his dealer network. So there may not be much in your area, but it's worth a look.
