Filled up the Gas & Diesel tanks today.

Filled up my tractor today with road fuel at only 4.62 per gallon. What happened to all the oil in the Baken oil fields. Oh, that's right, they're exporting it all to other countries..........................

And 54.5 cents of that is state tax.

I have not had any problems with ULSD. I have a 200 gallon plastic tank in the barn and a Goldenrod water/particulate filter on the pump. The filter hasn't been changed in 5 years. I only use additives on the older tractors (just outboard motor mix). There had never been any water show up in the sediment bowls on the equipment.

Last month I paid $3.48/gallon for 250 gallons of off road diesel.

I agree, I have had my 100 gallon tank for 5 years and still not water or algae growth. I don't keep more than 10 gallons of gasoline on hand during mowing season as that last me about 2 weeks. I want to use it up in no more than 30 days or else I put it in my truck to finish it off. Diesel, I have no problem storing it for years if need be. No water means no algae growth. Never had any algae in my tanks and never had to change out any fuel filters on any of my equipment.
I don't put any additives in my diesel not even in winter but it rarely gets below freezing for more than a few days at which time I don't need my tractors for anything.

I only use Stabil for the gasoline as I know it works.
