Fill\'er up... with water!

I'm at work fixing cars and pumping gas. In rolls an antique car, you know the real skinny tires. It didn't make any noise. I figured he was having trouble. I ask the guy "Can I help you?". He replies "maybe, got any water?" I replied back "Sure around the side, I'll meet you there". I figured, at this point, he probably over heated coming over the mountain. Well when he got in the car and started to move it it made this compression then sucking noise (for lack of better wording) and a small cloud of white smoke out tha back. A Stanley Steamer! I heard about them but never saw one working. Turns out they are about 8 of then doing a little tour through the Green Mountains. Its to bad I'm busy I could talk to them for a while. Yes, I did ask them if they could be so kind and blow the whistle!

Are they going to be at the Champlain Fair? It starts this weekend. I'd like to see one (although maybe not too close with my daughter, given the recent steam tractor explosion).

Just had to break out the digital camera!

Hope these pictures come out o.k. Seems there might be something wrong with my monitor. Brightenss on the monitor is turned up as high as it goes but pictures seem a little dark.

If the pictures don't come out let me know.

I don't know if they will? I know they said they were on some tour type of thing. They came up route 242 from the Troy (Newport) side came through Montgomery and went on to St. Albans. One of them had VT plates. 2 or 3 from MA. 1 from NY. They are really neat. Sound just like a steam train. And that steam whistle is LOUD!

I do think there was one at the Stowe car show.

Here's one of the reasons I miss being out in Oregon, I still have this stored, and sure would like to get back to playing with it. (see attached) It is a 1927 Canadian Model T.

Nice. Is it in original shape? I know a guy who has a right hand drive model A.

Top's been redone, but the upholstry is original....shows it too.
Left rear side panel is gone, and one each door handle/window handle is broken. Rest is all as built. It has a little cancer at the bottom of the cowl on the passenger side, no more than six bits worth...like I said, not much. Mechanically is great, except I hate the transmission, but it is original also.
