galen did they move to a filter like used on the older 2810's? they were a pain to change,i found the canister on the 4110 much easier to change

Says here in my 3510/4110 owner's manual that the 3510 sister unit to the 4110 used a spin-on filter right from the beginning. I'll bet they just standardized on that same (3510) style filter.

The 2810 and 3510 use the same spin on hydraulic filter and I believe that the one on the new 4110's is the same. Being I am in the middle of the tractor season, I haven't taken the time to check this out, I've only noticed it looks like it is the same.
