I put a new overpriced  NH Hydraulic filter on my 1620 (ordered the complete NH set from the guy on EBAY) in the fall and everything was fine. Now that winter is here and the outside temp it in the 20's, the hydraulics seem to move sloooooooowwwwwerrrrrr. If I work the tractor pretty hard for about an hour it moves at the normal speed.

So I would bet a dollar that the slower motion is due to the cold, not the filter. :)

I'd suggest you move to something like the multi-viscosity NH MC200 fluid, or Kuboto's Super UDT or Amsoil's synthetic.

I am not trying to hijack this topic, but I thought I would post a follow-up comment. I used my TC35A over the weekend. It was very warm in NC (73 degrees) and the hydraulics worked very fast and quick. I believe the slowness I previously reported was due to the low temps and not the Wix filter.

I will continue to use the Wix filters, but I will change to the high-end Kubota fluid as suggested earlier. Thanks.
