I have a FX16D. Does anyone know of the American counterpart filters for this tractor. I need oil, air, fuel and hydraulic. Thought maybe if there was an American one available that it might be more accessable and a cheaper price. Thanks. John

I decided to get rid of the leaking Yanmar fuel filter system and install the Racor 12A. Here is a photo of the installation.

Looks nice. I've used racor filter setups like that on my boat for years. How do you bleed the air out after changing the filter element?

Are the filters for the fx32d the same?
thanks

as far as bleeding the system, I cracked the two screws above where the fuel line comes in on the pump, and cranked the tractor with the decompression lever down for about 10 seconds..tightened the screws and away I went....

I paid $9.00 for oil filter from napa to fit my 3110D.I paid less at Fredricks. Not trying to advertise here. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I feel if anyone comes across any place that sells parts for less everyone benifits and it should be posted. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

There is a drain on the Racor if you look at the picture. It is the white knob on the bottom. First sign of water in the fuel you can drain the water out without any disassembly. Yanmar doesn't have this on the factory set up. For just a filter, sure the yanmar part is cheeper. If you have to buy the housing or bowl, Racor might begin to look atractive. Nice units that work well with parts available almost anywhere.

That is one reason I made the change Chris. I like the RACOR unit, and I like to be able to drain it, and use a spin on type filter.

I would like to set my Yanmar fuel filter system up like yours. Where did you purchase the Racor filter?

I purchased it directly from RACOR over the phone......it arrived in about 2 days....

I know this thread is long gone, but maybe somebody can assist.

I am a new ym1500 user, and was wondering if the filters below go with the ym1500 as well as the tractor model quoted.

Oil napa 1334 or fram ph5393a,
fuel napa 3262, wix 33262
hydaulic napa 1229 or carquest (wix) 85205,
air wix 46270, carquest 88270

Thanks much in advance.
