Backhoe Final Backhoe decision...Kub3130

I'm trying to decide between the Woods 9000 or the Bradco 408..The best price I can do is Woods - $8400.00 or Bradco-$6800.00 both installed with subframe and using tractor Hyd. I can't use the Kubota BH90 because of the 513 loader. Tough decision..hope you can make it for me.

The Bradco 509 is probably a more direct match to the Woods 9000, and is in the equivalent price range also. Suggest you consider that model in your evaluation. Bradco has reputation for building equipment that is really heavy-duty commercial grade, so it may have a slight edge, but you wouldn't go wrong with either brand. Your decision might come down to which dealer(s) would give best deal and best support for you.

KubotaMike, I have The Bradco 509 on my L3830. I gave 6000 for it when I bought the tractor. One place that I checked with was wanting almost 10,000 for it, but they did not sell tractors. My Dealer probably sold the hoe cheaper because of buying the tractor off him. The Bradco 509 is awesome, Don't know about the woods 9000. The other woods implement that I have are pretty good though. My brother-inlaw whom has a lot of heavy equipment really like my 509 as well.

I've got a Bradco 611, and I love it. I haven't used the Woods backhoes enough to comment on them, but they have good reputations, too. I went with Bradco because it seemed to be the best that I could get for the money. I paid $8K for it, installed.

I'd get a price on the 509 as well and if I had a choice between those I'd take the Bradco, nothing wrong with the Woods though. I love mine!

Between the 408 and Woods 9000 I'd get the Woods however they need to sharpen thier pencils. Mine was more than 1 gran less w/12 and 24" buckets. Even with the PTO pump the price would have been under 8k.
