4 days in the hospital, lots of metal in my knee and 4 months off work, but it's all good now. Obviously it wasn't bad enough, 'cause I want another one.

I'm interested in that front blade too. Do those cross braces keep the snow from coming out? Are the sides to make it "float" across whatever surface you are plowing, or just to keep the snow from pushing out the sides?

Yeah us motorcycle riders are never usually on the winnig end when it comes to fender benders.....Better luck with your next one!!

The blade is approx 70" ( a little to wide for me, I will shorten it this summer to about the width of the snowblower, 64") but to tell you the truth this is the first winter for the snowblade and I think it is one of the best project I've built for the tractor so far, man does this thing ever work nice and I have used it mostly in the scraper position all winter, I can get right to the garage door lower it and srape back, since I have lots of obstacles this is the greatest thing, the braces haven't kept the snow in and the sides are used when back scraping. Mostly what I did was back scrape a good distance then lift the plow then blow it away, I have a video of it in action but it takes so long to down load... But all in all a great piece of kit but I will be modifying it hopefully this summer.

Dude, I never thought about that top piece being used as a scraper, that's slick. I can only imagine how nervous I'd be the first time I rolled up hoping I didn't screw up and push it right into something.

One other thing: How well do you like your ShelterLogic garage? How well does it hold up to the elements? How long will it last in your climate?

Oh yes very handy, and so much quicker to get rid of all that white stuff!!! Speaking of white stuff....its April 20th and I may have to pull the tractor out to clear some snow, it started snowing at noon and hasn't stopped........it.s a mini blizzard out there!!!

That little garage has been up for 2 years now, (I don't take them down, i hate having stuff laying around the yard so everything is under shelter) It seem to be holding up fairly good, just gotta watch for snow acumulation, but other than that it still seems strong!!

Do you have a lot of wind? Snow is not an issue here, usually we'll get a maximum of 6" at a time, and that's usually only once a year. But we do have wind, especially in the spring. For example, last night we had a line of storms move through that were packing 60-80 mph winds. Where I would be setting it is somewhat protected, but not totally.

Oh yeah we get winds to...... but that is one thing I try to do is to some what protect them from that element, example I have 60ft of what we call here Tempo garage (temporary garage) I have running beside my permanent garage so it is protected from one side, same thing with the shelterlogic, Just make sure it well anchored, I've got bricks holding it and another trick I've learned is I've got 4 straps inside the garage (just your normal atv tie down straps with hooks) one on each corner and they are straped from top wall garage brace to whatever you have in the garage, for example I have and atv and snowmobile so strapped to a ski and rear rack of skidoo on one side of garage and to the front and back of atv on other side of garage.....

Nice unit. Dont have the need for snow equip here, but its always good to have a squiz anyhow tho.

Yeah the flashing lite is a requirement over here in OZ too.

No matter how many bright colors, bright lites etc.. one has there is always some nit who will manage not too see it at some stage. My tractor is a darkish blue and black, so every lite is on plus the flasher when I drive it on the road.

Had some neighbor across the road complain about the 18 ft walk in bin outside the house. "I cant see it it on the road at nite and when I back out". Whinges to council, so the bin guy comes around with reflective tape. Now this thing was bright orange. "Luv if u cant see it, u should not be driving!"
