Have been lurking here for a little while now and first want to say thanks for all the info posted on Kubotas. I was down to either a JD 2305 or a BX2660 and the wealth of info here is excellent!
I chose the 2660 for a few reasons including proximity to dealer and the support they offer as well as features namely more power, comfy seat and reverse pedal placement. Why reverse pedal placement? Well the package I bought included the FEL, 54" MMM, ballast box, R4 tires and a 51" rear snowblower. When backing up I find the reverse pedal placement works better and you can turn around more if needed.
The tractor was dropped off on Dec 24th in the middle of a snowstorm. Well I didn't come in for hours! 28 hours and several snowstorms later it can't snow enough!
I added lights for the ROPS with some home made brackets and also put an ABS pipe on the FEL bucket to keep the cutting edge wear down when cleaning the driveway. (I have a lot of driveway!)
Future mods/additions include adding rear hydraulics, a plow blade, rear box scraper and a tiller. I just realized that the gent who makes the skid plates is only a couple hours north of me so I expect to pick up a set of those as well.
I should have gotten one of these years ago!
Cheers!
