Here it is in all it's glory, with just under 30 hours - sitting in a small driveway that I'm cutting between our barn and pool.

There are old pilots, and there are bold pilots, but there are very, very few old bold pilots. And they get scarcer every day.

That's the kind of picture I like to see, Steve. It has dirt on the wheels. I just built a 40' x 50' pad for a carport on a slope with my TC45D over the past two weekends. If I had to use my old tractor, it would have taken me probably two months instead of two weekends. A loader and box blade are great tools. /w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Great picture,

Reminds me how good my machine looks! I'm trained as a Mech E too. Great education and a love for all things mechanical. I think my 5 year old son has the machinery bug too.

The only problem is I can't find erector sets anymore: my favorite toy at that age. That ans "Lincoln Logs" Who remebers Lincoln Logs? At least there's Legos now, though. I used to live near their factory in Enfield Connecticut when I was about 8 or 9 - although at the time, everything I had said "TONKA" on the side of it.

I told my wife, "I haven't had a TONKA toy for 25 years, and I've a lot of catching up to do. Boy this is fun.

I remember and owned both an Erector Set and Lincoln Logs as well as the large size trains, and both the small and large slot cars. These toys really taught kids how things worked and how they went together. Nothing like building it yourself to learn how a ferris wheel worked. A big part of Christmas used to be my dad putting up the train set in our den. It was on a 4 x 8 sheet of plywood that he had painted green and it took up a large part of the floor space in the room which is why it was just once per year.

Donald,

Just got back in from measuring for you. They are 17.5" wide at the tips of the tread, the sidewall bulges out a bit more. And I am a proud parent, yes!
