Work schedule has been so hectic lately.. it's hard to get any time off between my 2 jobs.

One day I'm sure there will be some time for a cup of joe with the tractor guys though.

Right now she is talking about buying me a welder and I pointed out she did not know which one to buy. Her reply is that my friends will know the model I want. And saying something like: " well it's too far away to drive the tractor to 'work' to use their welder.. and it would cost me as much to buy a welder as to have someone come out here and weld this.. so i might as well buy one, so i will have it when the next thing breaks.. and then we will be 'saving money'.

I almost said that with a straight face too.

I've found that when I make a big purchase.. about 2 days later, UPS and the post office start delivering packages from mail order places that my wife frequents... thus.. I try to limit the big purchases.. etc.. (GRIN )

Yet another thread I missed the first time around, but it started the day ofmy surgery so I was drugged up the next few days and that is my excuse.

I was hoping for an actual reasons for a welder list. So for my reasons have failed.

I have a 50 amp plug that needs a welder to go with it.
I want one.
I need one.
I can fix this that and the other thing.

she comes back with the we need:

A back-hoe.
A tiller.
A fence.
A yard.
Landscaping.
Dining room table.
Bar stools.
Sewing machine.

Her first three I can agree with, but if I had a welder I could add hooks and such, along with fixing them if something broke.

Anyone have some ideas, to get me a welder?
