I've been shopping for a new Kubota tractor for a few months. I finally bought one, just in time to still get the 0% financing. I bought a B3200HSD with FEL and BH. Now, I need to buy a rototiller for it. I definitely want a reverse rotation tiller. At the present time, I don't have a huge food plot or garden, and the tractor only has 23 pto horsepower (32 hp overall). I believe the tractor is about 58 inches wide at the rear tires. Some have said that I need at least a 60" tiller. But, others have said that if I go to 60 inches, I need at least 25 PTO HP. 23 hp is close, but is it close enough? I don't need to do the work in record time. In fact, from a time point of view, even a 40" tiller would be fine. But, I've read that if you don't get a tiller wider than the rear tire width, it will not work well. In that case, you need a tiller that can be offset. I see the Phoenix T-4 series can be offset, and the price is reasonable compared to a 60" LandPride. I am also considering a 52 inch, or 60" Ansung. (Probably the SR52, which is also reasonably priced.)
Any suggestions? Anything to avoid? I'd also consider used, but so far I have not found any used tillers, at least not anywhere near where I live, which is in eastern Pa.
