Congrats on the tractor... sounds like you have quite a bit of work(fun) ahead of you.

Does anyone else think the ROPS on that blue version is ridiculously high?

I take it you are referring to the ROPs on the NH's ?

Hello,

After reading a lot of the threads on this forum and spending way too much time researching sub-compact tractors, I finally went and bought the GC2310 TLB. I bought it from Northwood Power Equipment in Hermon, Maine. It was delivered today. I can hardly wait to put it to work and put it to the test. I just purchased 21 acres of land and plan to build a new house for me and a barn for my horses. This unit will be handy to pull out a few stumps, dig drainage ditches and oh yeah, moving around the stuff horses make on a daily basis. It will be a shame to get it dirty though.

My last tractor was a Kubota B7300HST, which I lost in a divorce 5 years ago, and I miss my baby. Of course I am talking about the tractor. So naturally, I had considered the Kubota BX24 first. But, I kept coming back to the Massey. I liked a lot about the Massey but one major factor was the Massey has steel hood and fenders where the Kubota has plastic. Call me old fashioned, but, I believe a tractor needs to be made of steel, not plastic. Another factor was the Massey is made by Iseki and they make a quality piece of equipment. Check out the blue version of the GC2300 at ISEKI > Products > Tractor TMG Series. I had an Iseki/Bolens years ago and it was a workhorse.

Anyway, I would like to thank all of you for your useful comments and I will be contributing once I have had a chance to put this little-big guy to work.

No the ISEKI link is what I was refering too.

Congrats!! As I have been welcomed by others I would like to welcome you to the RED Group as well. Bought my 1528 from Northwood Power Equipment in Northwood NH as well and agree they were great to deal with. Good luck!!!

If you have a Tractor Supply Company store in your area they probably will be able to give you a the best price on a 4' grader box. Last year with a news paper coupon and some arm twisting I bought a KING KUTTER XB BOX BLADE that needed a 10 minute repair to one of the 3 point braces. for $275 brand new. The XB implements are ideal for a GC 2300/2310.

Thanks Ray. I do not have a Tractor Supply here in Maine but I travel all over New England so I will check them out when I go to MA next week. Sounds like they have some good deals.

I have yet to get either of the buckets dirty on my little red rig as it has been all rain for the past week. It will be a while before my land is dry enough to start digging stumps and drainage ditches. I am chomping at the bit to dig something up. I have my eye on two stumps in my neighbors yard that I would love to take a whack at. But, for now I just sit on it in the garage and admire it. My son does the same, making tractor noises with his mouth…well OK, I do, too…;-)

Thanks again for all the great advise. And yes, the ROPS on the Iseki look a bit strange.

I was able to get out before the monsoons. This old mulberry one has been bugging me since last year. Took less than a half hour to get it out last weekend. Thought you might apreciate the tease.
The sun is supposed to return this weekend.
Dan
