And that's probably where it should be. Much of a slope and you need to so very slowly, in LOW range. Mid may do it, but you may tend to go too fast in Mid. speed+slope=BYE. John

During the first 50 hours (break-in period) it's recommended (per Kioti) to NOT run at full throttle. My hunch was, you were running at a mid operating RPM. As you become more comfortable with the operating characteristics of the tractor and reach the 50 hour mark, when conditions dictate, don't hesitate to run full throttle, controlling your speed with the foot pedal. Remember with a hydrostatic transmission the throttle is located on the dash, not under your right foot.
