We've finally gotten a real snow storm. Only took half the winter. One reason I wanted a blower was to be able to wait until the storm had passed to go out and clear the driveway. But since this is our first real storm of the year, I couldn't wait to get out and run the blower. We've gotten over a foot, but there's been a lot of wind, so the snow isn't that deep all over, but there were spots that were at least 18" deep closer to the house.

Very impressed with how the snowblower handles the bigger snows. It seems the deeper & denser the snow, the farther it throws it. It is one of those very fine flaked snowfalls, so is packing down pretty tight, so it's fairly dense as far as cold weather snowfalls go. The small area I had to plow to get out of the garage and get turned around created some piles that were taller than the height of the blower.

Also amazed at how much faster I can clear the driveway with the 60" blower compared to the 72" plow blade. One of the reasons for wanting a blower was that I spent a lot of time moving a lot of snow up and away from the house with the plow, and wanted the blower to chuck all the snow up on the hill away from the house to cut down on the piles I was moving.

I've been thinking about getting a rear view camera, but so far, the exterior side view mirrors have been working pretty well with the rear blower, and I'm wondering if a nice panaramic wide-angle rear view interior mounted mirror may be a decent option. Reason being is that when it's windy and snowing, all I see out the back at times is white, and concerned that a rear camera could get snow covered real quick, unless I mount it inside behind the wiper.

Snow is a great chance to use my 2620 for blowing, plowing and FEL work. When I had a B2200 it did what the 2620 does but the changing out of implements was no where as easy. Everytime I drop the blower/plow sub frame and put on the FEL I am totally impressed how easy Kubota has made the task.
Just got 12 inches of snow yesterday after a 30 inch blizzard a couple of weeks ago and now they are talking another storm this Wednesday. From a positive point of view it means more seat time!

Whoops, the weather service just issued a storm watch for weds and thurs with an estimated 8-12 inches. Well, hopefully it will melt by mid-June! We'll be ice fishing until July at this rate!

Do you run the blower slightly higher , and then finish it with he blade? I have the same set up and want to make some wheels to hold the blower higher ,even leave some snow behind, (gravel drive). Then use the plow to cut it close..

If you're asking me that question, I have an asphalt drive so I can scrape the drive with the blower and really not have to use the plow much at all on the asphalt. I do use the plow on the small storms. I also have some gravel areas that I have to hold the blower up off the ground to clear. Wheels would be nice for that part, but it would mean messing with them to go back and forth between surfaces.

I use the plow less now, but with the bigger storms, I have some gravel drives to clear, so on some of them, I use the blade because I don't want to chance running something through my blower that I can't see on someone else's property. When we have a big enough storm, like the 2'-3' ones we typically get in spring, I'd probably run the blower 4-6" off the ground, then finish with the plow on the gravel drives, so long as I was confident there wasn't anything on the drive to destroy my blower.

If you're asking me that question, ... The Kubota blower has three height adjustments, when the ground is not frozen in the Fall and Spring I raise it up to the tallest position. In the dead of Winter I have it in the lowest position. But be sure to use your seat belt or you may end up with a skull fracture.
