Woohoo! Heading back out to clear another 6-8" of fresh snow. Maybe we're finally in our snow pattern. If so, I could be complaining a lot come May, since we've had springs that are nothing but one big snowstorm after another till nearly June.

Nah! I have a cab, so bring on the bitter cold & dry spring snow or heavy wet warm spring snow. I don't care - I want seat time to get my 50 hour fluid change done and finally get some sythetics in my machine. :D

Lucky folks, only thing blowing here is dirt and wind.

We really, really need the moisture, so all this snow this past week is very welcome. I'm exhausted. Spent all day clearing snow with the tractor, Ariens walk-behind snowblower, shovels, and roof scraper. But these snows used to take me 3 days to get fully cleaned up before I had the 2 snowblowers.

With last super-wet snow I started out with the plow as I figured the blower would just jam up....made one pass and then couldn't do more because of the weight and lack of traction. Hooked up the blower and cranked up the rpms and finished everything with no problem. Should have done that in the first place! That blower can really move the snow (and gravel too)! Put the blade back on for clean up. Good seat time but I'll be glad when this season is over!

I converted an old 6' Meyer snowplow. I fabbed up a QA setup on the plow frame to work with the Kubota pin-type QA (actually, I designed the setup, then had a guy I know weld everything up for me). I had the moldboard powder coated, then sprayed the frame in orange & grey. I do not use the same setup as the factory Meyer setup with the pins & chain because I wanted to have the option to use down pressure on the plow. I really can't plow quick enough to cause damage by not allowing the plow to bounce up like you would on a truck. I have the old plow springs dialed out just about as far as they'll go so they trip with very little force before any damage could occur, but not so little that the plow is bent over the whole time I'm plowing, like I've seen some pickup plows do.

I have been considering building some bolt-on wings so I have the option to convert the plow into a snow pusher. Also need to eventually rig up the plow with hydraulic angle rams. Biggest expense will be the front 3rd function valve kit, so that's why it hasn't happened yet. Good thing, though, cause I would have had a bunch of work to do to remove it from the B3030 before I traded it. :)
