Based on comments in other threads, the Blow Out Kit is no panacea. In certain circumstances, with your deck at a certain height, it may reduce some of the material that "escapes" from the left side or front of the deck. It seems to be mostly recommended for folks that mulch or bag. I ONLY mow in mulching mode, and never have an issue with any material not staying under the deck.

Your principle issue at this point is most likely the extremely dry conditions. Once the rains come, the ground gets wet again, and you're able to drop your deck down, the issue should go away.

I don't know if this applies to all decks. I have a 54" deck on my X748. I got the anti blow out kit to prevent clogging the air intakes. It did nothing for me. I took it off again becasue it made the mower harder to clean.

I think I know what you're talking about now, I've seen them on some smaller mower decks.
