Finally Hit Garage with ROPS

Yah. Ummm....it was a major cause of death with farmers... But go ahead and do that. And don't wear your seatbelt either as it could "constrain you" in a crash.... :confused2:

Just in case....Yeah this is all sarcasm. I'm glad yer so smart...but ... Get a clue... really.

This isn't a topic that is rationally debatable in the real world. Rollover is a big issue with tractors.

Great I am not a farmer so next....And no I do not wear a seatbelt...Again, if they work so great I do not see them in school buses! I will take a seat belt over ROPS any day...ROPS is my case like warning stickers on a mower deck.....I have yet to even come close to roller, tilting a tractor if you know how to use the attachments correctly...


To close, I am glad this is a big issue with some..I really do not care. Just stated I removed my ROPS since it is not needed for moving for one..If it was a huge issue, I would see it on EVERY tractor sold. Get a clue!!!!:confused2::confused2::confused2::thumbsup::laughing::laughing:

LOL! Love the dry humor. Your stance on the effectiveness of ROPS is a joke right? If you require proof further away than you own backyard do some research starting with Sweden, Finland, Scandinavia etc and work your way back home.

Ya know, there is no reason to have manufactured the ROPS that high in the first place.

EXCEPT...The problem is, the height, and size of a ROPS, is determined by US federal regulations.

Any stupidity, and oversight, as far as this particular item goes, is not on the part of the manufacturers. It's on the part of the government bureaucrats.

Why jump to conclude they can build a great tractor, but the thought that people would want to put it in their garage escaped them. The fact that manufacturers make some ROPS fold-able should be an obvious sign they did know there is an issue.

Me too. All winter I was fine. I was taking the tractor in to change the oil. Took the molding clean off. Just tacked it back. You guys haven't really had fun until you rip the TV antenna off your RV while all of the bystanders are yelling and waving their arms. By the time you figure out what's wrong with everybody, you hear the moorings ripping out of the roof.

The country I am originally from (CZ) is quite hilly (like PA). When I was a kid I witnessed a tractor accident when a guy got killed when the tractor rolled over and squished him. His blue face made a great impression on me. Because of large number of such accidents the government issued a regulation that all tractors had to have a cab designed to withstand a roll over.
