Well, I finally went and did it. Went to a local equiptment dealer and picked up a box blade. It is a Kodiak 6ft standard duty, $395. I also picked up a toothbar for my FEL, $303. Then I went to my local Long dealer and picked up a hydraulic top link, plumbed up to work off of one of my rear SCVs, $164. I have to wait about a week for the cylinder that will work for the tilt on the 3PH, will have it plumbed for the other rear SCV,figure about $250 total on it. I plan to get a set of valves to run the top and tilt eventually, but figure it will work fine off the SCVs for now. I wanted the lines of the toplink quick disconnected anyway as I will have to remove it when I have my backhoe mounted.
I have to admit, the toplink makes using the boxblade a lot easier. I was "playing" around with it smoothing up a loging road they just put in when I had my place timbered. Having the fine control of the angle of the blade without having to leave the tractor seat was very nice. Can't wait to get the tilt function so I can control that as well.
Thanks to everyone who posted on the boxblade threads and the Top -n- Tilt threads, made my purchase decisions alot easier.
