Let's hope it holds. You LA folks need a ray of hope at least. That has to be very depressing if your livelihood, favorite beach or fishing spot is getting oiled a bit more everyday. It's depressing enough to watch from far away, can't imagine the stress for the residents.

It _is_ good news but I don't understand the logic. They are worried about the pressure finding another way to be relieved. Then why do a full pressure test? Why not have the oil collection ships hooked up and test it at less than full pressure? If it blows now, that will be all she wrote until the new wells can plug it. Sounds suspiciously like the 'test for maximum smoke' technique.

If the real fix is to drill another well then pump into ships untill the other well is completed??????????????

Remember... Don't let a good crisis go to waste. Probably will start leaking again and will not be stopped until oil is in the potomic river next to the white house.
