I finally got the toolboxes installed and they work well. There were a few things I had to work around but all is well. I wanted to put them on the loader arms as that's where I had one on my other tractor. The only downside is it's a little harder to see the edge of the bucket but I can still see it.

One thing to remember if you decide to do this is be sure and put all the heavier items like chains so they are closer to the back of the toolbox. So when you raise the bucket it doesn't make a mess inside. My main thought was to have the brackets for the toolboxes slip on and not have to drill the loader arms. They are snug enough that they don't move or rattle. I put rubber strips under the brackets and they seem to hold everything in place. I also put all the small things like extra nuts & bolts and hitch pins in a plastic box so they don't get spilled during bucket operation.

I also took pictures of the work lights and switch box. One picture shows the large hook I welded on the bucket for lifting and also I use it to move gooseneck trailers around. The loop on the hook fits nicely inside so you can pick up the tongue and move it around.

Myself, I'd be worried about forgetting, in the moment, those toolboxes are not fixed and lift something to the maximum height, and they both fall off. Or letting someone else use the tractor, and them not realizing, and doing the same. Would they fall off, or slide down at full lift?

Still good work though. I'm a big fan of slip on, quick removable stuff. Makes work much easier.


Here's a potato image of the ammo tool box I've welded up to slip onto the back of the loader cradle. Chainsaw scabbard is done the same way, on the other side. Box can drop on or lift off as needed, on either side.

I've bounced them around at full lift, full of tools and chains and they never moved a fraction of an inch. The brackets are 2" X 1/4" flatbar and are not flimsy by any means. I had to tap the brackets down and the toolboxes also. So it's a tight fit. That toolbox mount looks good. Like it belongs there.
