Well we got 4 inches of wet snow last night. A lot less then the up to a foot they were predicting.
My commute in was uneventful which is very unusual for inclement weather.

It occurred to me: Four days into spring and hopefully the last snow fall of the season and people finally learn how to drive in the snow (me included) /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

It was quite different here in WNY. I saw more people off the road yesterday then I did all winter. It is hard to imagine how some people can forget so quickly that going fast in snow is not a good idea /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Alot depends on the snow....

Yesterday was warm, ground was NOT frozen, this morning temps were 35 degrees. All it took was a little salt to clear up the roads.

When the ground is frozen & the temp is hovering around freezing, the wet snow packs into ice making for a huge disaster.

If it's real cold, the snow is "dry" - traction isn't horrible.

Maybe this is why the eskimo language has so many words for snow... Although I can't imagine that their commute would be greatly affected - simply put on the bigger snow-shoes if needed /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
