I'm pretty sure neither EFC nor Tractor Ernie are Yanmar new parts dealers.

And I'm pretty sure that a Yanmar new parts dealer (assuming you mean an authorized dealer for the Yanmar company) is not going to openly sell parts for a grey market tractor.

On the other hand, EFC, Ernie, and LMTC among others sell lots of new parts for Yanmars.

Surely you know better than that....There are several Yanmar Authorized Parts Dealers that sell openly on these forums on a daily basis.

Name them. And then tell how you determined that they are "Yanmar Authorized Parts Dealers." Please.

Edit--I just re-read this and it sounds sarcastic. I did not mean it to be. I am totally serious, as I only know of one anymore, and I have not seen him actually specifically offer parts for sale for a grey in quite some time.

This is my first post on this forum, I have been just reading and learning to-date. But at the Hoye website they sell brand new replacement pistons, cylinder sleeves, valves, injectors, etc.. for my grey market tractor, are they OEM Yanmar? That remains to be seen. Either way there are "new" parts available for the major wear items on my grey market tractor and that is what I care about.

Hoye is not an authorized Yanmar parts distributor. Neither are we, but we both have an extensive catalog of parts available for grey market yanmar-manufactured tractors.

You can view the authorized Yanmar parts distributors on the Yanmar website. However....Yanmar America does not allow it's parts distributors to knowingly provide parts support for grey market tractors. That's not saying that there are not any who violate that policy....but that is, to our understanding, the policy.

I have been pleasantly surprised at how easy it's been to acquire New parts, packaged in genuine Yanmar bags or boxes for the last few years. Nearly all parts I've acquired from dealers and parts suppliers have been through this forum. More importantly, technical assistance, advice and exchange of information have been given freely for us that purchase parts and can't maintain a full library of every model of Yanmar. Their time and effort given here is priceless.

Also the big ticket used items that I have needed in the past....hydraulic case, block and heads ect., have been located, shipped and priced affordably for a customers' (or my) budget and have added years of life to tractors that probably would have ended as scrap. I have yet to experience any dealer, parts supplier or long time Yanmar owner offer advice or information for self gain. And I have never seen any of the same use this forum as a platform to express their products as bigger, better or more affordable.

My latest and maybe best example was with a supplier, whom I do not exclusively buy from, offered 47 detailed pages of the fuel system including the injection pump for a similar Yanmar model I was having difficulty with. The information he provided proved I was attempting to repair a problem that existed elsewhere. He saved me many agonizing hours over a problem that wasn't actually fuel related.

In response to Norm's concerns about authorized Yanmar dealers. Here's a local example.

Local JD dealer has several new Yanmar T80 and is starting to handle them. He is not listed on Yanmar's site as a dealer. Down the road a half mile is the local IH/Case dealer. Has a decent sized lit sign saying Yanmar dealer and they are listed at the Yanmar site as an authroized dealer. They have NO Yanmars on their lot.

Who is the real local Dealer? The new Yanmar uses the same drive train as some of the JD's so they have parts and service people that know how to work on them. My money is on the JD dealership and not the IH/Case dealership.

I'm new to the forum. Recently bought a YM1510 2WD. I've read a lot of discussion from you guys about YMs and have enjoyed the great ideas and suggestions provided.
