Mowing finish mowing with a grey

Just wondering if anyone uses their tractor for finish mowing ?I just picked up a 60 hp IH for snowblowing my driveway and now would like to get rid of my Iseki 1910 4wd and get a little smaller 2wd grey to finish mow about 3 acres.Im curious how they work with turfs and a rfm. And no I dont want a lawn tractor. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Thanks Jason

They work great. I used one for several years before getting a zero turn. The 1910 would work well. You might just swap dollars getting something else.

I was thinking the same....I can't think of a better use than a RFM unless it's original intent with the tiller.

I've used a YM 1700 for 13 years pulling a Landpride 5' RFM. Average between 3 to 5 acres per cut and run it approximatley 50 hours per year. I'm never gonna wear out the Yanmar. I've got 1250 hours on her now and she is as good as the day I bought her. Very well pleased. Best money I ever spent.

Most greys I've seen don't come with turf tires. That would be the only drawback if you want turfs. I don't have turfs on mine and have gotten by "OK" but there are surely better things to mow with. My choice would be a zero turn, but heck I just bought another rfm cause the old Woods needed new spindles. Found a decent used one for less $$ than new spindles.
