I have a 23HP Yanmar tractor, should it be able to pull a 72" Big Bee finishing mower? I've noticed when I use mower the tractor will run hot after about 30 minutes of mowing, which it does not do when I use the front loader? The cutting arear is mostly level, with grass approx 6-10" high ..Any help is greatly apprecaited.....Thanks!

If that's 23 PTO HP, your Yanmar should be able to handle a 72" mower, but you'll need to keep that grass shorter then 6-10 inches. That's rather tall for a finished yard, isn't it?
Just run at a slower ground speed until you get that grass to a reasonable length or raise the cutting height a few inches (which means you may have to mow it twice).
BTW, if your mower's blades haven't been sharpened in a while...sharpening would help too.

If this is a field you're mowing, you should probably use a rotary cutter.

Wow. Just my reaction, take it for what it is worth, but a 6' mower is a bit much for a 23 hp CUT. Agree with Roy's observations. A finishing mower is intended more for lawns, at least that is what I use mine for. BTW, I pull a 4' finishing mower with my 23 hp tractor. I have pulled a 5' and it ran it just fine, but again, I mowing my yard, not a field of tough, tall grasses.

OK, so my F935 (23 hp when new) runs a 72" side discharge mower and will struggle in 10" grass and run hot if the radiator screen is a bit clogged (10" grass is going to seed in many cases) and the blades are dull.

So, I usually make several passes at raised height or reduced cutting width (48" instead of a full pass).

Cutting more often would solve your problem. A rear discharge offers reduced load vs. side discharge. If you have high lift blades, change them to regular ones. By any means keep them sharp.
