I have a L3830 with R4 loaded rear tires and use a 72" MMM to mow my yard with. I do not mow when the ground is wet. I think the R4 tires do not cut or scuff as bad as the turf tires I had on the other tractor. The hydro transmission makes turning without cutting, digging in or scuffing the lawn an easy task if you lift your foot. I talked to several professional landscapers prior to ordering with the loaded R4's. They advised they liked the R4's better than the turfs. I can not address R4's not working with a MMM on a L3130. I am sure your dealer can answer this. I was advised the "Galaxy" tires would not work with a MMM.

Just looked, my gut reaction was that you where right, but sure enough the R4's will not fit with the MMM.

why does a mmm fit on the 3830with r-4s but not 3130 im asumming that its because the 3830 has wider wheel stance and get it further away from mower im just curious

It seems like you want the 3130 to do the bigger jobs. May I suggest that you take the money you would have spent on the MMM and pick up a small riding mower for the lawn. If you need to mow fields maybe you could find a used tph mower for not too much money.

Have you thought about renting when you need a larger machine and keeping your smaller one? I've rented both an L35 and a B21 when I put on an addition to my house and done several other large projects. The place by me charges about $200/day or something like $700/week and they deliver and pickup the tractor. With an L35 you can dig up enough ground in a week to find Jimmy Hoffa and that same $700 won't even buy you a trailer. And you aren't responsible for maintenance or storage.
