Following a very calm and cold night, the day dawns with progress made, but the fire is still not contained, let alone put out. The forest service predicts that may take weeks.
The winds will pick up and the day will be very hot, near 80 degrees. Not helpful. 7000 acres already burned, 20 homes destroyed.
The winds have shifted, taking the smoke and ash away from our home and likely putting our place in a much better position. All resources have been committed to battle this massive fire. We continue to pray for the safety of the fire fighters.
