Anyone else running Firefox? I am tired of chasing my tail with IE and am sure hoping this works out... Now, if I can just get the boys and girls at DCX to play nice with it...

Just a little quirky posting here, the shortcut smileys, bolds, etc always want to go to the end... No biggy!

I have firefox, netscape,ie,opera, flashpeak and Avent browsers. and had a couple of others but deleted them. Opera is the fastest but i don't really like it. Firefox is second fastest but there are some websites that it doesn't work good on. Avent is probably almost as fast as firefox and has a lot of nice features and works good on every webpage i tried. I would rank them as Avent as the best ,then firefox.

I should have mentioned that Slimbrowser is really nice too. Very fast itself. IE is easily the slowest.

I’ve been using Firefox both at home and at work and like it well enough. I also find it a little quirky at times but like it better then IE. Being able to open tabs in the same browser is one of my favorite features.

Are you sure you're not talking about Avant? It was kinda tough looking for an Advent browser. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Fox fire is nice but even it had a vunerabilityannounced this week on the windows platform.

Opera is a nice browser but foxfire seems to be more IE compatiable.

Hmmm....this was news to me, and I have been using Firefox for almost a year as my primary browser. So...I checked over to Slashdot , and yep...you're right...it has a vulnerability . And it's already patched! So, this bug was pretty much fixed before a lot of people even knew about it.

Unlike IE where MS gets a patch available within a few weeks, or months, and then only fixes part of the problem. .

Oops! My bad! The problem with IE is security. I support about 200 workstations, and the security issues are beating me up.

Avant is not a solution at all, as it is a dress up for IE.

Slimbrowser has IE5 listed as a minmum requirement as well...

Firefox is actually still in Beta, so it is bound to have issues...

You are chasing the tail, instead of the dog. A different operating system is what you need. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
