Moving boulders to build up the earth, 8 tons of clay/fill, 3 tons of gravel base, 15k pounds of 32lb blocks, and 4500 lbs of slabs (which I cut for the top, box tops, and mantle). This tractor has paid for itself about 5 times over now. The trail to haul this stuff is about 1200’ long as well, some of it rutted and muddy.

The big boulders are under the fireplace now.

Boulders were in my woods, all other materials (slabs, dirt, stone) total about $3300. Who knows what a contractor would quote this job. I would add about $300 in diamond carbide blades if you want to cut the slabs perfect. I did rent one of those compactors for the base at $67 for the day. Having a large quarry 4 miles away and a massive stone/slab wholesaler within 6 miles is crucial to saving some cash as well.

It's a good thing you had "help" to hold that boulder down!

Looks real good, is that far from your house?

Solid work. Looks fantastic.

I am always amazed about how much these little tractors can manage. I know I have lifted way more than rated specs as it looks like you have too.

Great build.... But much impressed with chain hooks on FEL, had not thought about something that simple..

Yes, sadly I have a welder and could of made these much stronger (bolt in shingle shear load is not the best idea), but I needed them in a pinch for something and kind of hacked them on (they work great for a bunch of stuff). When the FEL lift doesn’t have the power, the curl on these GCs has a tremendous breakout force, if you set your rigging right the curl force will lift the rear with the backhoe.....just don’t tell the warranty department.

Lol.....some of those boulders wouldn’t lift so I got under them with the bucket, put it in float, lifted the rear with the backhoe, locked the FEL, let the rear down....and the rock came up with the FEL.....I don’t recommend....but it works....these frames are robust.....worst is the tiny front tires.....when I have a stupid amount of weight I take it real easy and try my hardest to only use 2wd, even extend the hoe straight back to counter balance.

Actually it’s within 30’ but the elevation and my yard is not suitable for the tractor, so I have a trail that winds around. the rear of the tractor in this photo is in between the house and fireplace.IMG_4131.JPG

Had a issue with my JD riding mower, it was running like a dead deer, actually jamed the mower in bucket and lifted it, all 523 pounds.... Ummm discovered I need rear ballast weight on my GC1715...

That's a beautiful piece of work! Any reason why your rear tires are on backwards?

Probably when it arrives on pallet, person who assembled it did not bother to check "direction of forward rotation" arrows on tire sidewall.... Poorly trained or indifferent help at assembly point...
