i know that both sentry and the other big name one, and a fusing gasket that actually joins the lid tot he body.. has to be pried or cut open..

I have been told a deep freeze in the basement works pretty good. Probably better than a safe in a second story bedroom. Just be sure to put the papers in a water tight container.
