The one that saddens me is 2 miles down the road from my house. Mid 30s buick, suicide doors, wire wheels, fenders wells for spares, no obvious body damage that I saw. Has sunk to the axles in the shed. The cloth portion of the top has rotted out of course. I put the info out in a couple of collector forums but noone showed any interest.
I hate to see fine old iron molder away like that.

Really a nice looking car Junkman. I have just started refurbishing a 78 Buick Century(Special) and hope to have pictures by fall /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif It is my DILs' Grannys car and Granny is 101 yrs old and wants the car to stay in the family. They were very few of these cars built and when you see how ugly it is, you will understand why--Ken Sweet

It runs very well, but the engine is getting tired, just like the owner. At some point, I will need to rebuild it, but for now, I will just drive it until the winter when I put it away again. I had to use the strap to pull it out of the corner since I was being lazy and didn't want to push it by hand. The four wheels were set on dollies that roll, so I had rolled it into the corner.
As for the Buick that is resting comfortably into the ground, I am not sure that it is a Buick from the description, because I don't remember Buick's ever having suicide doors. I had a 1926 Buick Master Country Club Coupe and a 1928 Standard 4 door sedan. Both of these cars had wooden artillery wheels. I believe after that most Buick's came with steel disk wheels. I am, by no means the expert on Buick's, so I could be mistaken. It would be great to see some pictures of the car.

I am sure it is a buick but then my forgetter doesn't work as well as it used to. Pictures aren't possible due to problems with the owner, sorry. Condition of the car looks restorable but of course the wheels will be gone due to rusting in the dirt. Other than that everything seems to be there and only surface rust. I am basing the 'mid-30s' vintage on the body style, rounded corners, not the blocked off style of earlier years. Still has running boards and has the square cut-out in the top that was covered with canvas back in those days.
