I'm pretty sure we can close this thread now. You win! And I am picking up some oysters! Some yearlings with a quick crispy fry should do nicely...

I have some 3 year olds on the beach about the size of a softball you can have. Lots of seaweed in the gut. :laughing:

That's a terrible thing to wake up to! Of course there are those that crave big ole fried oyster sandwiches...

For those that like bacon but are aware of the issues with processed meats etc...learn to cook your own pork bellies...Also, many meat markets make their own sausage and do not use chemicals (msg etc.) or preservatives...

IMO...one of the more ultimate sandwiches that has bacon is the 'Beef Martini" created by Wright's Deli in Tampa...

^^^^ a lot of truth here. I limit bacon to only a few times a year. Corned beef and pastrami a few more times than that. Good stuff, just not as good for you as it tastes.

We just smoked pork belly with instruction from my SIL who is getting rather accomplished at it. Good stuff. Did a date glazed, a freschetta type and a curry. No bad stuff in it sans the smoke.

Bacon, cabbage, chili fried catfish is pretty good inna pinch. BLTs later this weekend with a store bought tomato will have to do....
