First day with the B7610

What kind of farm do you have out there? And I have to ask you this: Do you ever miss the U.P.? Is the climate similar out there? The more I get around and the older I get you start to realize what a small world it is. Everywhere I go I run into someone from the UP or that has spent a lot of time up here at some point in their life, mind boggling, especially some of the towns (if you can call them that) the people know of. I'll stop on that tangent now. Anyway, I spent 3 years in Illinois and just couldn't handle the heat, humidity, and lack of snow. So here I sit once again in Upper Michigan.

I followed your threads and went through the same thing. Started looking at the BX24 but couldn't get over the fact that it looked like a lawn mower. I almost went with the 7800, could have gotten it for about $900 more than the 7610. But, I had to quit playing that little bit more game before I ended up with a grand L or something. The backhoe is great but it will take some getting used to. If anyone was watching me dig that hole I'm sure it looked as if two drunk monkeys were fighting over the joysticks.

Thats how you learn, Every time I use my tractor I just get better at doing things. In fact I am even better than myself LOL. I have become quite good at digging with my Fel and pushing over trees and clearing brush. Taiser I know you said you were going to wait on your tooth bar an I do not have a Hoe on my tractor but I do a lot of clearing. I find that the Fel is very convenient with brush and small trees. There are some that are stubborn and a Hoe would be nice. But when clearing and pushing through brush it really is nice to pop the smaller trees out and keep going. I am a huge fan of the Tooth Bar

Yeah, if you're not too careful you'll end up with an M-series. Gotta stop somewhere. . .like at an M125X. Good looking tractor. Have fun with it.

Hey nice looking tractor......I just picked my 7610 up on friday. Before I took it home I went over to my buddies shop and made two diamond plate tool box/chain boxs. I mounted one on each side of the main loader frame at the bottom. I got the idea from the custom forum. Other guys were making them out of steel tube or pvc. I figured the aluminium would never rust and diamond plate looks cool. i made them 4X6", and 12" deep. How much did you spend on the BH? I would like to get one some day, just to say I have one.

Backhoe is about 6k; Makes for an expensive show piece. Can you post a pic of your tool boxes? They sound pretty nice and I have been thinking of adding a box. Right now I carry around stuff in the curled bucket of the backhoe.
