Cabela's was a premier outdoors provider till Bass Pro bought them out. Now they're not much more than an outdoor Walmart. Way less to choose from, poor quality, etc. Incredibly disappointing and sad to see this happen.

Agree, I used to make the couple hour trip to the store a few times a year. The brands they carry, the store and online selection all went down hill IMO.

I'm curious, what items for example are you not seeing in their stores or online any more?

I'm not sure of the exact nature of this pop up, but it may be affected by a browser setting.

I have seen a setting regarding what to do if the website requests your location. The options are:
Allow
Deny
Ask.

You might be able to eliminate this and other website pop ups by changing your setting from "Ask" to "Deny."

Cabela's used to have their own label of very well made clothes for work and outdoors...now it's non existent.

In my opinion, Cabelas was starting to go down hill before they got bought by Bass Pro. Since being bought, they've only gotten worse.

I thought Cabelas starting going down hill when they started moving away from their own branded merchandise that was made to their specs, to sell overpriced stuff from Underarmour, north face, sitka instead. I have some old Cabelas hunting gear that was built well and priced right. If I want overpriced gear like Underarmour and Sitka, I'll search on-line and find it on special somewhere.

I was in Salt Lake City and Phoenix this past week and stopped in at Sportsmans Wearhouse. I've always been impressed with their store, unfortunately, the only one near me in Lewisville TX closed years ago. I haven't checked out Scheels yet, but saw one opened up in the Dallas area.

I've really become disappointed in Cabelas since the Bass Pro buy out and find myself going there less and less.

As someone who shopped the original store in downtown Sidney in the 70's, what has happened to Cabela's and more so to the town of Sidney is just sad to see.
